HOW TO MAKE A NURSE CAP

As Princess Z will be celebrating The International Nurse day at her school on Thursday.I didn’t wanted to buy her the full suit available in the market.Firstly they are quite pricey and secondly, they are of one time use only so instead i decided to dress her up in full white clothes with a Nurse Cap made at home.I wasn’t very sure about it at first but then was happy with the result🙂.Below 👇🏻are the step by step instructions on how to make a Nurse Cap:

All you will need is :

-A4 size Chart Paper (I used chart paper to make it a bit stiff, any other kind of paper can be used).

-A Red/Pink Cross (Cut out from colored paper or either painted) (I got my done on the chart paper and painted it pink).

-Scotch Tape/Glue/Stapler

-Scissors

Here are the Step by Step Instructions-

Step 1: I know how we usually get an A1 size chart paper in the market. So to begin with place I placed a regular A4 printer paper on the chart paper and cut it out to get the exact size.

Step 2Once you have your A4 size chart paper, fold it less than half way through. (From up to downwards).

Note: The fold should be on top (like shown in the picture)👇🏻

Step 3 : Place and glue the cross in the middle of the folded line.(should be more towards the line fold)👇🏻

Step 2 and 3

Step 4 : Turn the paper over

Note: The line fold should come below

Step 4: Turn the Paper over as guided

Step 5 : Fold the corners and tape/staple them as shown 👇🏻

Step 5 : This is how it should look after the fold

Step 6 : Fold the instructed lines in the picture below 👇🏻and tape/staple it

Step 6: Fold the point ☝🏻

Step 7 : Turn over and Voila it’s ready! 😊

The Final Result 😁

TIP: To keep it steady on the head..tie a bun and pin it in.

The Great Indoor Picnic Brunch @ Bazxar

THE GREAT INDOOR PICNIC BRUNCH

It was an honor to be invited and spend my Saturday at the launch of The Great Indoor Picnic Brunch @ Bazxar with Princess Z.Located in the heart of DIFC this was one place I was looking forward too.

The Indoor Family Picnic

Ambience

As being a mother the most important aspect I look out for in a restaurant is kids- friendliness.A place where the kids can enjoy and keep them selves busy while we eat and chat. This new picnic brunch by bazxar (which takes place every Saturday)fits in perfectly.Casually dressed in our attire as we walked in Princess Z and I were fascinated with the setup around.Excellently decorated from grassy and greenery effect to the wooden benches and tables covered with red checked cloth to balloons tied up to the table, was very cute (definitely giving you a feeling of an outdoor picnic party). Not only this the buffet table was very well represented with non-veg and veg dishes and snacks.

The Cute Set-Up
The Buffet

Food

I know how choosy kids become If they don’t get their favorite thing to eat, refusing to try anything new.The good thing about the buffet here was that there is something for everyone. From kids favorite items like pizza, fish and chips, pasta, macaroni salad to cheese and crackers, sandwiches, sweet treats ( banana loaf, cookies, biscuits) and much more. For burger lovers there is a ‘make your own burger’ station, where beef patties are placed on a bun and topped with dressings as desired. For the drinks the regular hot and cold beverages are served, including alcohol. Not only this if your in a mood for a milkshake then ‘the Milkshake station’ is just the place for you where you can build your own and enjoy.

Activities

Princess Z was super duper excited to try out all the activities here. The first activity Princess Z started off with was Cupcake Decorating. Here she was provided with a vanilla cupcake with pink frosting and all the toppings she could ever think off from gummy bears to m&ms, rainbow sprinkles, peanut butter and many more to decorate. It didn’t take her much time to finish and gobble it 😉.Next was the Milkshake Making stop.Princess Z was full (didn’t have much space in her tummy after the heavy cupcake) so she skipped and jumped to Face Painting. As we had other plans for the evening she decided to get a painting design on her hand instead. With a henna design on one hand and a balloon in the other Princess Z was happy and satisfied enough to go home. 😁.Not only this there is also a small area where the kids can enjoy a movie 🎥 on beanbags with a bucket of popcorn 🍿.These activities are surely great enough to keep a child busy and entertained.

Overall

Loved the concept and everything related to it.From food to ambience everything was to the point.I was really happy to see Princess Z enjoying herself and really digging in the food plus participating in the activities provided. We had a great time!!! 🙂 and will surely visit it again

The Great Indoor Picnic @Bazxar is held every Saturday from 12-4pm.

EASTER FUN CRAFTS

As Easter just round the corner. Here are some of my favorite and super easy crafts that can be done at home or at school.

Paper Bunny
This is a super duper easy craft paper bunny craft that can be made not only on Easter but any time of the year.

You will need:

-Blue/Pink construction paper
-white paper
-Scissors
-wiggly eyes
-glue
-black marker

Step 1 : Cut 4 long strips of paper (length wise of the A4 sized paper) and 4 shorter strips of paper (width wise of the A4 sized paper).

Step 2 : Take the 2 long strips and glue them together making a cross.Glue the other 2 long strips, making a snowflake. (Do the same with the short strips)

Step 3 : Take the “snowflake” with long strips and start forming a paper ball.By gluing
the strips together, forming loops, until all strips are glued together and you get a nice looking ball.
(Do the same with the short strips “snowflake”.)

Now you got two sized paper balls.

Step 4 : Glue the paper balls together.

Step 5 : Cut the ears out of blue paper.
(Also cut a smaller set out of pastel pink and glue it inside the blue ears)

Step 6 : Cut a snout and draw a nose.
Also cut teeth out of white paper and draw a line in the middle with a black marker. Glue the teeth on the snout.

Step 7 : Glue the ears and the snout on the head (smaller ball) part of the bunny.

Add two wiggle eye stickers.

and your super easy Paper bunny is ready to be displayed

Step 3 : Draw (or glue) the beak, nose and ears. Stick on a pair of googly eyes (or draw them).

10 Common Words

10 Common Words

10 COMMON WORDS TO SAY TO KIDS EVERYDAY

Use these 10 words of encouragement and affirmations to inspire your kids throughout the day.Making them feel confident and as well as help them take on new challenges in life.

I LOVE YOU ❤️- During bedtime or during the day this is something that need to be said several times of the day, everyday. When the kids know they are loved, they know they have someone to trust and protect them. In short ‘LOVE IS ALL THEY NEED’ 😊.

YOUR THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED – We (moms) know that giving birth 🤰is the best feeling and the best thing that every happened to us,why not let our kids know that as well.

IM PROUD OF YOU – One of the best ways to let our kids know we are proud of them more often is to intentionally see them doing something good. For example finding their improvement in anything they do ,play sports, practice an instrument etc.It would be great if we showed them pride on a regular basis.

YOUR SO GOOD! – Did an activity on their own and the right way.Praising them on their achievements increases their motivation.

YOU CAN ASK FOR HELP? – Asking for help comes naturally. They need help with everything. But as they grow up, it can become warped.Children need to learn to voice their needs at home. Those kids are more likely to stand up for themselves in other situations and are also less likely to be taken advantage of.They need to understand that they can always seek support and comfort for their frustration, helping them learn how to self-regulate their emotions and stay calmer.

WE ARE HAVING SO MUCH FUN? RIGHT? – If you find a way to make the most of every moment that you have with your kids, you will not only be a wonderful parent, but you will also be teaching your kids how to be good adults and wonderful parents themselves someday.Show your children how important your time with them is,making them remember the fun times they spend with you.

IM LISTENING 👂🏻 – No matter how busy we are throughout the day listening to our kids is the most important thing of all. If you want them to listen to you, you’ll need to first listen to them.Listen to your children when they want to talk, have strong feelings or have a problem.Listening is a skill that will help any parent communicate better with his or her child.

NEVER BE AFRAIDIM HERE  – Caressing them and telling them that there is nothing to be afraid of will leave a huge impact on them (letting them know that mom/dad are always there to protect them (even in their dreams).

YOUR SO HELPFUL – We wouldn’t mind a few helping hands..would we? 😵I know chores for kids is less cleaning and more messing around 🙈 but appreciating, even their little help can make a difference in their lives. No matter if it’s not done properly we can always make it right and make them learn later.

WHAT A GREAT JOB YOU HAVE DONE 👍🏻- Whether it’s just finishing a puzzle or a coloring page. Kids love being appreciated. The smile and the proudness they will have on their face after these words will surely be capturing. 🙂
