Build-a-Bear Workshop Experience

Build-a-Bear Workshop Experience

OUR BUILD-A-BEAR EXPERIENCE

🙌🏻

After a few months of waiting..Princess Z finally got a chance this EID to experience and build her own bear at the Build-A Bear Workshop

This workshop is every kids favorite but for those of you who don’t know :

Build-A-Bear Workshop is the only company in the world that offers an interactive, make-your-own stuffed cuddly toy family experience!

When you walk into a Build-A-Bear Workshop store you get to create your own cuddly toy, by choosing it, stuffing it, adding a sound and giving it a heart full of wishes. You can dress and accessorize it before making a personalized birth certificate and taking it home in its own special Cub Condo carrying case!

There are many Build-a-Bear Workshop stores here in Dubai but we decided to go to the DFC (Dubai Festival City) branch which we thought had the most options than anywhere else.

As we walked into the store I could see my little princess getting over excited 😆 with everything finding it hard to choose….but after a while of searching and deciding… Princess Z finally decided to go with the FROZEN (ELSA) TEDDY 👇🏻

The Frozen Collection

Next step was to chose her VOICE/SOUND…obviously as it was Elsa we went with the Let it go song…🎶

The STUFFING came in next….before sealing the Elsa teddy completely. We gave it a HEART ❤ (sealed with kisses and love) as well as added a BUBBLE GUM Smell (rubbing it against her and stuffing it in)….

Thus…The Elsa bear 🐻 was born ☺

Next was Princess Z’s favorite part WASHING & DRESSING/ACCESSORIZING her Elsa Bear up..

Once everything was done we headed to one of the computers filled in the information… personalized and collected our Teddy’s BIRTH CERTIFICATE and headed to the counter for payment.

I highly recommend going to the the DFC (Dubai Festival City) branch of Build-A-Bear Workshop…excellent service, super friendly and helpful staff… totally awesome 👏🏻 🙌🏻

*Great for kids over 4+ as they will be old enough to understand and enjoy this amazing experience.

I was honored to be invited by Little legends the other day to the sports launch of little knickers and teddy tennis at Sportsmania JLT. This was the very first time Princess Z participated in outdoor sports or games and I was really happy to see her energy level and delication.Even though the weather was not on our side, we were having a great time nibbling on the snacks (provided by The Change Initiative & More Cafe) at the same time  watching our little ones participate. Heres all you need to know about the programmes to keep your kids actively busy at the same time entertained for hours

TEDDY TENNIS

Teddy Tennis is a curriculum based sports program developed in the UK that inspires children aged 2 to 6 years to get active and learn to play tennis. It works by combining Music, Pictures and Teddy Bear Characters into a totally interactive learning adventure that young children love.

It is taught using the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning style. Applying this learning approach to teaching has proved to be very effective, particularly for young children and works brilliantly in Teddy Tennis lessons – they’ll see it, they hear it, they do it and they get it!

Pop Pop! Pinata

How to Play?
There are two ways of playing this game (we play the second option mostly).
But firstly put the prizes in and spin the piñata to mix the prizes inside

First way of playing is hitting the piñata gently by pressing the party disc hit button on the bottom. The piñata will stay closed and only a few prizes will come out.Put the prizes in the cup and then it’s the next players turn.If the other player splits open the piñata you win!.

The second way of playing is by hitting the piñata harder and popping the prizes out.Like just a real piñata…everyone races to put the prizes in their cups. The player with the most prizes wins.

This game requires assemble and will be loved by all.
Note: contains small parts so definitely not suitable for children under 4

Ohh how Princess Z loves this game.Shes a big fan of Dora the Explorer so we bought her a Dora and Friends memory cards game from a local shop

Everyone knows how to play this game but will still tell you 😉.Flip the cards over two at a time to uncover, match the most pairs and the player with the most cards wins.

Bingo
Even though Princess Z is just 4 she plays this game really well and enjoys it.Everybody loves this number game specially when you get the first row of numbers and are the first one to say ‘Bingo’ 😉

How to Play?
Includes a number chart, x36 number cards and bingo chips. Its simple just pronounce one number at a time and place a bingo chip if you have it on your number card.If you complete a row shout out ‘bingo’.Even though this is a bit though for children below 6 it’s a great way for improving their number recognition skills.

Tip: When saying the number break it down to make it easy for the child (if they are playing along) like for example: instead of saying forty two (42), say four two forty-two (42).This will help the kids recognize the numbers without any help 😊.

EASTER FUN CRAFTS

As Easter just round the corner. Here are some of my favorite and super easy crafts that can be done at home or at school.

Paper Bunny
This is a super duper easy craft paper bunny craft that can be made not only on Easter but any time of the year.

You will need:

-Blue/Pink construction paper
-white paper
-Scissors
-wiggly eyes
-glue
-black marker

Step 1 : Cut 4 long strips of paper (length wise of the A4 sized paper) and 4 shorter strips of paper (width wise of the A4 sized paper).

Step 2 : Take the 2 long strips and glue them together making a cross.Glue the other 2 long strips, making a snowflake. (Do the same with the short strips)

Step 3 : Take the “snowflake” with long strips and start forming a paper ball.By gluing
the strips together, forming loops, until all strips are glued together and you get a nice looking ball.
(Do the same with the short strips “snowflake”.)

Now you got two sized paper balls.

Step 4 : Glue the paper balls together.

Step 5 : Cut the ears out of blue paper.
(Also cut a smaller set out of pastel pink and glue it inside the blue ears)

Step 6 : Cut a snout and draw a nose.
Also cut teeth out of white paper and draw a line in the middle with a black marker. Glue the teeth on the snout.

Step 7 : Glue the ears and the snout on the head (smaller ball) part of the bunny.

Add two wiggle eye stickers.

and your super easy Paper bunny is ready to be displayed

All you will need:

-craft sticks (either colored or plain)
-white or yellow pipe cleaners
-white or yellow paint
-google eyes
-markers

-glue

Step 1: Start by coloring the craft stick. Let them dry. (If you are using colored sticks then skip this step)

Step 2 : Cut out the head shapes, round one from yellow construction paper for chick 🐥 and white circle with ears for the bunny 🐰.

Step 3 : Draw (or glue) the beak, nose and ears. Stick on a pair of googly eyes (or draw them).

Step 4 : Place the craft sticks at the centre of the pipe cleaner. Start wrapping the pipe cleaners around them, twisting them on the back side of the craft stick.
When you’re half way through, make the wings by making the loop, as shown on the image above, twisting it a few times at the bottom of the loop (near the craft stick). Continue wrapping the pipe cleaner until you are done (cut it if it’s too long). Tuck the loose end under the wrapped pipe cleaner.

St.Regis Hotel Winter Garden Market

St.Regis Hotel Winter Garden Market

ST. REGIS HOTEL WINTER GARDEN MARKET

Our visit to the St.Regis Winter Garden Market was short but fun.First of all I didn’t know there was actually a Christmas event going on over there but later found out by a family friend. As it was about to end (the next day 31st of December )didn’t wanted to miss it,so paid a visit the same evening.Set on the beautiful St.Regis hotel,on Shiekh Zayed Road this market is surely to be visited for a different experience. Its not very big though and (wouldn’t take much of your time) but rather the trip is short and fun.Princess Z and I surely enjoyed our time there .

Moving over,They had 2 separate outdoor zones. The market stall placed on the left and the kids entertainment zone on the right. We didn’t pay a visit to the food stall area as we weren’t hungry but directly when to the kids zone.Where they had quite a few entertainment for kids. From the choo choo mini-train,to the Carousel ride,a snow globe,A FREE snow fight zone, a small snack stall(selling popcorn and candy floss),gingerbread decorating area, coloring zone as well as a visit to Santa 🎅🏻 who was sitting and welcoming kids in his little Grotto for a FREE picture.Tickets were to be bought from the cashier desk ,each ride and snack costing you 10 Dhs.The great thing about all the rides was that they were quite long (around 10mins each)Princess Z did each of every thing except for the carousel,(she loved it and went on it twice). We couldn’t go for the snow globe as it was out of order 😞(Maybe next time).Anyway the total cost of our entertainment was 40Dhs (quite reasonable isn’t  it).
