Build-a-Bear Workshop Experience

Build-a-Bear Workshop Experience

OUR BUILD-A-BEAR EXPERIENCE

🙌🏻

After a few months of waiting..Princess Z finally got a chance this EID to experience and build her own bear at the Build-A Bear Workshop

This workshop is every kids favorite but for those of you who don’t know :

Build-A-Bear Workshop is the only company in the world that offers an interactive, make-your-own stuffed cuddly toy family experience!

When you walk into a Build-A-Bear Workshop store you get to create your own cuddly toy, by choosing it, stuffing it, adding a sound and giving it a heart full of wishes. You can dress and accessorize it before making a personalized birth certificate and taking it home in its own special Cub Condo carrying case!

There are many Build-a-Bear Workshop stores here in Dubai but we decided to go to the DFC (Dubai Festival City) branch which we thought had the most options than anywhere else.

As we walked into the store I could see my little princess getting over excited 😆 with everything finding it hard to choose….but after a while of searching and deciding… Princess Z finally decided to go with the FROZEN (ELSA) TEDDY 👇🏻

The Frozen Collection

Next step was to chose her VOICE/SOUND…obviously as it was Elsa we went with the Let it go song…🎶

The STUFFING came in next….before sealing the Elsa teddy completely. We gave it a HEART ❤ (sealed with kisses and love) as well as added a BUBBLE GUM Smell (rubbing it against her and stuffing it in)….

Thus…The Elsa bear 🐻 was born ☺

Next was Princess Z’s favorite part WASHING & DRESSING/ACCESSORIZING her Elsa Bear up..

Once everything was done we headed to one of the computers filled in the information… personalized and collected our Teddy’s BIRTH CERTIFICATE and headed to the counter for payment.

Total cost of our ❄🐻: 338 AED

*Note:everything is charged separately (accessories etc..) and prices may vary on selection 🙂

So happy to welcome a new member in our family…🐻This surely was a great experience for Princess Z and not only did she throughly enjoy it! We did too 🙂…

I highly recommend going to the the DFC (Dubai Festival City) branch of Build-A-Bear Workshop…excellent service, super friendly and helpful staff… totally awesome 👏🏻 🙌🏻

*Great for kids over 4+ as they will be old enough to understand and enjoy this amazing experience.

Bridal Flower Paper Bouquet Craft 💐

This is one of the simplest craft to create with kids and once you  know the basics you can create as many as you want.

So you will need the following materials:

A pair of scissors

To start off:

1.Fold the paper into half (vertically)

2.Start cutting out strips like the picture below (making sure to leave space at the end)

Thick Or Thin Strips (Its All Up To You)

3.Glue the other end leaving a bit of space (see the picture below)

Approx 1 inch space

4.Once dry start rolling over.. it should look something like this in the end👇🏻 (the more you roll the more layers you get).

Fairy Garden

Fairy Garden

So as I promised I will be posting all about the Fairy Garden we grew together a few days back..

As I already told you guys Princess Z received this on her birthday and I had kept it hidden for a while..just to take it out to keep her entertained on sick days like these.

So firstly the Fairy Garden box includes everything you will need make an enchanting experience.

Ready To Grow & Play!

Contents;

1x Garden bowl
1x Fairy figurine
1x Shell (Water feature)
1x Fairy cottage
1x Clothes linen with Posts & Pegs
1x Blanket
1x Packet Of Grass seeds
1x Colored gravel
1x Fairy mushroom
1x Packet of stars
Flowers
Booklet
*soil is not included so you will need some of your own.

1.So we started of by filling in some soil in the garden bowl..Filling it up nearly to the top and firming it down to make a smooth and stable surface.

Fairy Garden
Step 1

2.Once we were done! We assembled the fairy cottage and placed it on to the soil in the center close to the rim of the bowl, pressing it in,a bit.

Our Cat Was Enjoying This As Well 🙈

3.Next with the help of a teaspoon we made a small hole in the soil on the left side of the bowl.Placing the shell in the hollow making sure the sides were leveled with the soil.

4.Then using the multi- colored gravel we created a path from the cottage to the opposite side of the bowl.

5.In the spare area of the garden we placed the washing line poles(cutting the cord to the length required).and hanged the pink blanket using the pegs.

Already Lookign Good …Isn’t It!

6.Next,we evenly scattered the grass seeds over the bare areas of the soil.(Sprinkling water over the seeds to make them a bit damp)

Almost Done

7.Now once everything was done it was time to add the decorations, flowers and mushroom and we did..placing them randomly around empty spaces.

Looks Wonderful ❤️

8.Last but not the least we poured a little water in the shell to make a fairy pond and Finally we sprinkled a bit of fairy dust(stars) all over…adding a bit of fairy magic.

And voila…it’s done … the only thing we need to do now is wait and watch the grass grow.

Our Little Fairy Garden

*you can add in a few decorations of your own if you like…like pebbles, small plants, sea shells, shiny objects and so much more..

I don’t know where to find it here in the UAE as it was gifted to us but you can check it out online on https://www.fishpond.com

LITTLE LEGENDS INTRODUCES WORLDS BEST EDUCATION CURRICULUMS

I was honored to be invited by Little legends the other day to the sports launch of little knickers and teddy tennis at Sportsmania JLT. This was the very first time Princess Z participated in outdoor sports or games and I was really happy to see her energy level and delication.Even though the weather was not on our side, we were having a great time nibbling on the snacks (provided by The Change Initiative & More Cafe) at the same time  watching our little ones participate. Heres all you need to know about the programmes to keep your kids actively busy at the same time entertained for hours

Play,Have Fun & Get Active

LITTLE LEGENDS

Little Legends was established to give pre-school and nursery children between the ages of 18 months to 7 years in the UAE an early opportunity to discover sports in a fun, welcoming and pressure-free environment.

That is why they have introduced two of the world’s best sports education curriculums; Little Kickers and Teddy Tennis. These two programs have been developed in the UK with the best and professional certified coaches, child experts and nursery school teachers in order to ensure that children are getting the best.

LITTLE KNICKERS

Little Kickers focuses football to children in a fun way.Aiming children between 18 months to 7 years. The program also provides many educational and important pre-school learning concepts such as colour and number recognition, sharing, teamwork, following instructions and using imagination.

TEDDY TENNIS

Teddy Tennis is a curriculum based sports program developed in the UK that inspires children aged 2 to 6 years to get active and learn to play tennis. It works by combining Music, Pictures and Teddy Bear Characters into a totally interactive learning adventure that young children love.

It is taught using the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning style. Applying this learning approach to teaching has proved to be very effective, particularly for young children and works brilliantly in Teddy Tennis lessons – they’ll see it, they hear it, they do it and they get it!

Oli Oli Edutainment Center

Oli Oli Edutainment Center

OLi OLI EDUTAINMENT CENTER

It was a pleasure to be invited to the sneak peak preview of Oli Oli before it opened its doors to the public 2 weeks ago. There are only a few places in Dubai that the whole family can enjoy indoors during Summer and Oli Oli (meaning Joy in Hawaii), has become one of them.Dubai’s first interactive museum and located in Al Quoz (beside Oasis Center) is hours of fun.Me,my sister and my 4 year old princess had a great time exploring and experiencing the activities through the 8 galleries of Oli Oli museum

Read through and you will know why spending three and an half hour there was the best time investment of our day.

When we entered the museum our first stop was the Air Gallery, where we learned about the power of Air.The main attraction of this gallery was the wall of tubes which was all about putting in pieces of orange and pink pieces of fabric, through one side of the tube and seeing them being blown away through and out of the tubes. Not only this there were many more interesting things to do like flying away paper planes, getting a ball through a circle with the power of air,the hurricane stimulater and much more.

Our next stop was the Toshi Net.Built by the Japanese artist Toshiko MacAdam. This structure took almost an year to built and is made out of brightly colored crocheted and knitted nylon weighting almost a 1000 kilos in total. I wasn’t allowed to go inside (no adults are allowed inside the structure due to weight and height restrictions) but it was great to msee Princess Z enjoying her time jumping, climbing and swinging around it.

Next came the Creative Lab where princess Z and I built a robot 🤖 to draw on the page for us while my sister made one for herself on the other side of the table. How we built one was the interesting part..Firstly we chose a base (a plastic jar or a little box),them taped around markers (as many colors as we like) then came in the machine which made the robot move around.Once we were done we moved on to the other section of the lab the Construction Section where we built a star together using sticks and rubber bands.

Before moving on we grabbed a bit at the La Petite Tree House Cafe.

Loved The Interiors Specially The Hanging Plant Crates

Then we made our way to the upper floor of the museum…moving in towards the room with black curtains called Future Park. This room was all about spending time coloring pictures of sea animals or cars scanning them on a scanner and seeing them appear on the digital wall.Princess Z had a lot of fun spotting her creation and following their journey from one end to another swirling, twirling and moving along with them .Not only this we also played with the glow in the dark balls on the other side of the room.

The room where we spent the most time was Cars&Ramps, where we build Cars from Lego to slide them down the ramps and hoops.Unfortunately we didn’t succeed in getting our cars through the hoop but it was great to see the effort my daughter and the other kids around were putting in to modeling  their cars.

Next on the other side was the Toddler Room.Even though my daughter is not a toddler anymore she enjoyed her time playing around with wooden toys and building a house with the material provided (like pieces of textiles, hooks and ropes). Not to forget the Quiet Room where the little ones can take a nap whenever necessary.

The last space we visited was the Water Space where Princess Z had a blast playing around with water. This place was all about washing cars, shooting canon balls with the force of water, watching whirlpools and getting soaked in the rain 🌧.

IMP Note: its always great to carry extra pair of clothing as there are high chances of getting wet while having fun.
