How to Play?
There are two ways of playing this game (we play the second option mostly).
But firstly put the prizes in and spin the piñata to mix the prizes inside

First way of playing is hitting the piñata gently by pressing the party disc hit button on the bottom. The piñata will stay closed and only a few prizes will come out.Put the prizes in the cup and then it’s the next players turn.If the other player splits open the piñata you win!.

The second way of playing is by hitting the piñata harder and popping the prizes out.Like just a real piñata…everyone races to put the prizes in their cups. The player with the most prizes wins.

This game requires assemble and will be loved by all.

Bingo
Even though Princess Z is just 4 she plays this game really well and enjoys it.Everybody loves this number game specially when you get the first row of numbers and are the first one to say ‘Bingo’ 😉

How to Play?
Includes a number chart, x36 number cards and bingo chips. Its simple just pronounce one number at a time and place a bingo chip if you have it on your number card.If you complete a row shout out ‘bingo’.Even though this is a bit though for children below 6 it’s a great way for improving their number recognition skills.

Tip: When saying the number break it down to make it easy for the child (if they are playing along) like for example: instead of saying forty two (42), say four two forty-two (42).This will help the kids recognize the numbers without any help 😊.

Wipe-Clean Books

Wipe-Clean Books

WIPE CLEANS BOOKS FROM BIRGIN MEGASTORE

In her school these days Princess Z is learning how to write down her ABC’s and her name.Shes a fast learner but I know every child in the beginning have difficulties and struggle to hold the pencil the right way and it’s the same for Princess Z.

Her teacher has been telling her to practice once a week or twice (putting no pressure on her).As I know how bored she gets on doing the same thing for a long time 🙈🙊.I don’t know about others but Princess Z has a funny style of holding a pencil (like serial killers hold a knife wanting to stab someone 🤣).She even sometimes hold pencil with both hands (pretending to be Rajinikanth (south Indian superstar) to get work done quickly 😂.

I knew she needed a lot of practicing on the grip so that’s when I decided to order some books online.

A few days ago I had been through the Virgin Megastore website online and saw some books 📚 that would help Princess Z with her writing skills so since they were offering free delivery for a few days i took the opportunity to order online.Below are the books I bought

Wipe-Clean Pen Control

The first step to the basics of learning how to write. This was the book I wanted for Princess Z.Pen Control book is all about Simple and fun activities, such as tracing simple lines, shapes, drawings and much more. This wipe-clean book will definitely help her practice tracing and pen control skills, not only this it will help her improve her hand-coordination,fine motor and writing skills. The best part I love about this books is that once your done practicing just wipe and clean it off with a damp cloth and start all over again. 🙂.

The second thing I ordered were the Wipe- Clean ABC Flash Cards. These are great to teach the basic of writing, and the formation of letters.Consisting of 28 alphabets, with each card being two-sided, both lower and upper case letter practicing. What other better way of learning.

Definitely a few must buy items to prepare the kids for their foundation stage.

Ear Ache in Children

Ear Ache in Children

Ear Ache in Children

Lately Princess Z has been going through an ear infection (or earache) after she had a cold raging for more than two or three days.Due to the ear ache Princess Z has been having a yellowish discharge coming out from her ear plus suffering a bit of hearing loss.(She cant hear me from a distance). After talking to my pediatrician about it,She has been put on an antibiotic course for a week.Hopefully,it will vanish within time.According to a research, It’s common in children from the age of 3 and it occurs when a virus or bacteria causes the area behind the eardrum to become inflamed. Most middle ear infections occur during the winter and early spring. Often, middle ear infections go away without any medication. However, if pain persists or if your child has fever, you should seek medical treatment. After experiencing it myself for the first time i thought of sharing a few ways to spot an earache

Sighs to spot an ear infection (earache)-

1.Ear pain (mild to severe). Babies often pull or tug at their ears.

2.Fever.

3.Drainage from the ear that is thick and yellow or bloody. (This is what Princess Z has been going through)

4.Loss of appetite, vomiting, and grumpy behavior.

5.Trouble sleeping (crying or not wanting to sleep)

There might not be any home cure for this but there are a few things that can ease the pain along the way:

1.Use Ear drops

2.Rest

3.Apply warm cloths on the ear

4.Use Pain Relievers (such as Advil)

5.Use Oil Drops (putting a few warmed drops of olive oil in the ear is safe and could be moderately effective)

Many ear infections clear up on their own in about a week or two, with symptoms starting to get better after a few days. Be sure to check with your child’s pediatrician if your child has an ear pain, (under 2 years of age (and definitely if the earache is accompanied by a fever).

Listed below are a few ways to lower your child’s risk of getting an ear infection:

1.Wash your hands and your child’s hands frequently.

2.Keep unclean items out of your toddler or baby’s mouth.

3.Avoid smoky environments

The Doctor should be visited immediately if any sigh of earache is spotted to stay away from further complications.

I hope this helps!

Kadinsky Circles

Kadinsky Circles

KADINSKY CIRCLES

This week me and Princess Z chose an activity that’s all about colors and different big and small circles.

Before I go on,let me go a bit into the history and introduce you to the artist who was behind it all.

Wassily Kadinsky, was a Russian born French Expressionist. His worked looked more like the images below but one of his most recognizable pieces of artwork is his color study known as Squares with Concentric Circles/Rings (Farbstudie Quadrate) (Below Last). This is where the activity is differed from.

Landscape With Two Poplars 1912

For this activity you will need:

Colored Paper

A Pair of Scissors

Glue

Instructions:

This activity can be done by either painting, sticking, drawing ,stamping different sizes of circles or any other medium your kids have interest in.Once decided then is all about having fun and playing around with big and small colored circles and layering them one on the other and creating your Kadinsky masterpiece.

img_1912
It’s all about using as many colors as possible

Princess Z chose to draw, cut and stick circles from different colored paper on to another colored square.Making a colored masterpiece of her own.

Princess Z Kadinsky Circles Masterpiece turned out to be like this

This activity helps increase physical-development from gross and motor skills to free-writing skills.as well as encourages kids to do large pieces of work with large movements without making a mess around.

The best thing about this activity is that it’s not at all messy and can be done anywhere either at school/home.In the end its all about having fun and spending time together.

P.S-This is one of Princess Z’s favourite activity.
