Pop Pop! Pinata

How to Play?
There are two ways of playing this game (we play the second option mostly).
But firstly put the prizes in and spin the piñata to mix the prizes inside

First way of playing is hitting the piñata gently by pressing the party disc hit button on the bottom. The piñata will stay closed and only a few prizes will come out.Put the prizes in the cup and then it’s the next players turn.If the other player splits open the piñata you win!.

The second way of playing is by hitting the piñata harder and popping the prizes out.Like just a real piñata…everyone races to put the prizes in their cups. The player with the most prizes wins.

This game requires assemble and will be loved by all.
Note: contains small parts so definitely not suitable for children under 4

Everyone knows how to play this game but will still tell you 😉.Flip the cards over two at a time to uncover, match the most pairs and the player with the most cards wins.

Bingo
Even though Princess Z is just 4 she plays this game really well and enjoys it.Everybody loves this number game specially when you get the first row of numbers and are the first one to say ‘Bingo’ 😉

How to Play?
Includes a number chart, x36 number cards and bingo chips. Its simple just pronounce one number at a time and place a bingo chip if you have it on your number card.If you complete a row shout out ‘bingo’.Even though this is a bit though for children below 6 it’s a great way for improving their number recognition skills.

Tip: When saying the number break it down to make it easy for the child (if they are playing along) like for example: instead of saying forty two (42), say four two forty-two (42).This will help the kids recognize the numbers without any help 😊.

Newspaper Hat

HOW TO MAKE A NEWSPAPER HAT

It was Earth day at Princess Z’s school and we (parents) had to make a costume or accessorize them with any recycled material and be creative.I was looking for something that would be creative and served a purpose at the same time.I did my part of research and came  across different ways of recycling newspaper.I found many ways but the thing I decided to go  with was a Newspaper Hat. Here’s how we made a Newspaper Hat by recycling the daily newspaper.

You will need:

Newspapers
Tape
Scissors
Any accessories (like flowers, buttons…) to glue to the hat. (Optional)

Steps:

1.The most important step is to take the right fitting measurements…so do to that make your child sit down, place newspapers sheets on her head…and mold them on the circumference of the head as shown in the picture below👇🏻

Photo is for illustration purpose only

2.Once you have the perfect size… tape around adding layers of newspapers (as many as you like) (I prefer 5 to 6 layers)

*This part is a little tricky…keep adding layers, until your satisfied.

3.Once you have your layered hat, remove and cut out the extra edges and accessories as you like.

I added flowers made from wool and glue them on the  on the taped side making it  look more neat.

Cutting out the extra newspaper will give you layers…making it look more fancy

This is the easier and most useful way of recycling newspaper. These hats can be accessorized in many ways and can be used in parties, recycling day or even in the daily life.

Single Mom Decision

Single Mom Decision

SINGLE MOM FINAL DECISION

Many of you have been asking me to post the struggles I faced and what made me take the separation. To tell you the truth it was the hardest decision i have ever made and the best one.

Every girl wants a Prince charming in here life, ending with a fairy tale wedding.I was one of them.It was an arrange marriage (but I had dated him for a few months after our engagement 💍.So basically I knew him and so did he).It was 2011 when I was totally excited about getting married in December. Having all my loved ones around during my lavish wedding and getting married to the one I love was a dream come true.Never knowing what the future holds for me.

It was after March 2012 when things started to fall apart. He was no longer the person I fell in love with. His violent and aggressive behavior started showing up.I could go on and on with what issues happened during my marriage and the details but as I belong to a respectable family I don’t want to make fun or insult anyone online.Anyway,During my 6 month of pregnancy 🤰 I decided to move out and take a ‘khula’.*(when a girl requests to get separated from her husband) as I have had enough of him.My parents could see the depression I was going through and they were with me.He started turning violent and disrespectful. The first few months were very difficult for me.Being 6 months pregnant 🤰 and seeking a divorce from my husband was the toughest decision anyone could take.I wanted a happy life and a bright future for my coming child, but knew I couldn’t get one if he’s around.Somewhere in my mind I wanted to give him a second chance but knew he would never change.Negative thoughts 💭 were running through my head as it would in anyone’s head and kept asking myself questions

Is this the right thing to do’?.Does he deserve me?.
Will he love me the way I want him to if I stay back?.
Is it the right decision? If I give him a second chance will he change?.
‘Should I go ahead with my decision?Why/Why not?
‘Should I abort my child?.

Note: I wrote down these q’s on a piece of paper with the answers. Most of them ended up neg.so it helped me to take the decision!.

These negative thoughts made my pregnancy worse (had more doctor visits than usual) and with him around I could see my life fall apart. Many of my relatives were against my separation and told me things like ‘I would be a bad example for my cousins and others. etc etc .Seriously!! Like I cared (my parents were with me that’s all I wanted). The only thing I wanted was a better life for my child 👶🏻 and myself .I knew he wasn’t a good example and I had no shame to admit that he was the one to be blamed. The first thing I did was to delete him from my contact list, social media and every other network he was on.Even though I still wasn’t sure about my decision and was expecting him to make it up to me but he didn’t .There might be some mistakes that I might have made but his mistake were bigger, unforgettable as well as unbearable.

I was planning to abort my child at first but then realized that what does she has to do with everything going on.she hasn’t entered the world yet.why should I blame her for his mistakes.Thinking that staying with him would not only make my life worse but my daughters as well so I accepted the challenge of moving on as a single mother to show him i don’t need his support to live my life the way I wanted too.

It took almost an Year to be granted a divorce.During this period I gave birth to Princess Z.The way he behaved during those months and after made me realize that I took the right decision and he was never meant to be in my life or my daughter’s.A man who doesn’t even bother to visit his own daughter or ask how she is doesn’t hold any respect for me.

Princess Z doesn’t know about her father yet .When the right time will come, will surely tell her all about it but only when she’s mature enough to understand it in detail, cause I don’t want her to compare who was right and who was wrong, just want her to understand that some people aren’t meant for each other.

It’s been 3 years since my separation and things have changed in a better way.I couldn’t have done it without the support of my parents and siblings. They supported me in every way they could.Princess Z and I are living a life we never imagined we could have. All thanks to the support of my parents and siblings).I seriously couldn’t have done it without their help.I thank #Allah for giving me the best parents and Princess Z the best grandparents/uncles and aunts who love her unconditionally.

I am proud of my decision and don’t regret anything!.

Madinat Jumeirah Christmas Market

 MADINAT JUMERIAH CHRISTMAS MARKET

Another Christmas event, The Christmas Market at Madinat Jumeirah is a must visit. An event that happens every year,Its a place where not only the kids but adults can surely enjoy and have fun.Heres our experience

We decided to go there on a weekday avoiding crowds.Arriving at around 4:30 we were all excited but the traffic around Madinat Jumeirah is bizarre.and it’s really hard to find parking inside so it took us almost half and hour 😖☹️to get inside.Anyway it was almost 5:00 when we reached.Seeing all the Christmas decoration and the Giant Christmas Tree Princess Z got really excited and couldn’t wait to experience at the attractions.

m-decor
So much of hard work put into this Christmas tree

The first thing I did was buy the tickets.(it’s exchanging cash for money tokens, using them as per the required price ).It usually gets crowded but the good thing about this year is that they made it a lot better by having several tickets counters around rather then just 1.After getting our tickets we lined up in the queue for the mini-train ride.As it was not crowded Princess Z turn came in fast. 😁

Note:The price for the mini-train ride 🚂is 15 Dhs (token money)per ride for 4 rounds

Next, was the snow park area,we had to go across for it via the link bridge.(another new feature this year)The queue here was very long.Princess Z is very impatient and doesn’t like standing in the line so she and her aunt went to grab some snacks while I waited in the line for her.Her turn to play came in after 25mins in waiting.Once she was in playing with the snow ❄️☃️I clicked some pictures waved and watched her from the outside.Every child is allowed only to play for 15mins so the time got over very fast and as I was hungry we went to grab a snack at one of the stalls.I don’t remember the name though but they had great eatables to offer. As being a fan of potatoes Princess Z and I had French fries for the time being.🍟.

Note:The snow park area costed us 25Dhs (token money)and a plate of French fries 25Dhs (cash)as well.

Then while eating we when for the gingerbread man decoration. The stall was a bit far from all the other attractions(had to take another link bridge).Once on the stall we went for 2 cookies, one gingerbread man and a Christmas tree.Handing them out on a plate with white pipping, some jellybeans and sprinkles to decorate.Decorating was Princess Z’s best part as she got to mess around.

There were 2 more attractions that we didn’t go for.One was the bungee jumping as Princess Z was too small for it and the boat ride across Madinat Jumeirah with Santa 🎅🏻 which Princess Z didn’t wanted to go for 😔.Later when we where done with everything that Princess Z wanted to do we strolled around the market area, looking at what the shops/stalls had to offer.Stopping as usual at the Lindt chocolate 🍫 stall and buying sweet treats for ourselves 😋.
